Job description

Description

Location: New York

Role Type: Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Post Trade Services team at Delta Capita as a Product Owner focused on settlement innovation. This strategic role sits at the intersection of market needs, client pain points, and operational excellence—driving the evolution of post-trade workflows for OTC derivatives. As a subject matter expert in settlement flows, trade lifecycle, and reconciliation, you’ll lead initiatives that modernize and streamline confirmation and settlement processes. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities/ Role Requirements:

  • Act as Product Owner for settlement-related initiatives, translating market needs into clear product requirements

  • Partner with engineering to ensure solutions are aligned with operational realities and industry standards

  • Identify gaps in current post-trade processes and propose improvements based on best practices across the banking sector

  • Lead change management efforts across internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Serve as subject matter expert on settlement flows, trade lifecycle, and reconciliation processes

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their pain points and ensure our products deliver measurable value

Requirements

Qualification and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end settlement cycle concepts and procedures to resolve settlement issues and ensure timely and accurate settlement of OTC derivative trades.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in OTC derivative trade confirmation and settlement.

  • Strong understanding of OTC derivative products, trade lifecycle, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.

  • Proficiency in trade confirmation and settlement systems.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as Dodd-Frank and EMIR

  • Experience working at or with Tier 1 banks or large custodians

  • Familiarity with ISO 20022, SWIFT messaging, or blockchain-based settlement models

  • Passion for fixing broken systems and building smarter workflows

Expectations Regarding Hybrid Working:

As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy on physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly, this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 or even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our clients’ demands.

Salary Range: $120,000-$155,000(dependent on experience)
