Summary

Cirrus Data Solutions is looking for experienced software developers to join their team in Syosset, NY or remotely in North America. Responsibilities include designing and implementing features for their flagship product, Cirrus Migrate Cloud, analyzing and solving challenging problems, working with a flat organizational structure, and contributing to multiple phases of development. Required qualifications are 2+ years of software development experience, experience developing testable code in modern programming languages, containerization experience, an appreciation for clean architecture and design patterns, a desire to learn new technologies, Linux operating system experience, and database programming. Preferred requirements include production-ready experience with Go, distributed applications knowledge, SAN and cloud storage architecture knowledge, and front-end development experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience developing well-engineered, testable code in a modern programming language (primarily in Go)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • An appreciation of clean architecture and design patterns
  • A desire to learn and to adopt to new technologies under dynamic timeframes
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and interest in enterprise-level system applications
  • Experience with database programming

Responsibilities

  • Designing and Implementing features, enhancements and e2e tests for our flagship product – Cirrus Migrate Cloud and its Cloud SaaS offering
  • Analyzing and solving challenging problems
  • Working with an open-minded team in a company with a flat organizational structure
  • Contributing to multiple, varied phases of our development through planning, design, implementation, DevOps, testing and automation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Production-Ready Experience with development in Go
  • Experience with distributed applications (gRPC, S3, Redis)
  • Knowledge in SAN and cloud storage architecture
  • Front-end development knowledge/experience
