Title: Strategic Data Analyst/Tag Manager Direct Manager Title: Senior Director, Digital Strategy

The Role Unlock Health is seeking a strategic Data Analyst/Tag Manager to join our growing MarTech and Digital Strategy team. This role is perfect for a data-driven professional who thrives on architecting and implementing comprehensive measurement strategies. You’ll work closely with clients to design sophisticated tagging frameworks and analytics strategies that drive meaningful business insights, while ensuring compliance with healthcare data regulations and supporting experimentation initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Client Measurement Strategy & Portfolio Management
    • Identify and develop comprehensive end-to-end measurement strategies for current book of clients in partnership with the Enterprise Analytics team
    • Define full measurement strategy across the entire client journey
    • Partner with Enterprise Analytics team to create standardized and custom dashboard templates with current and future client needs
    • Identify implementation gaps in current tagging infrastructure and growth opportunities
    • Document tagging infrastructure and gaps that prevent meeting client objectives
  • Technical Implementation & Data Management
    • Lead tagging, data implementation and configuration across client portfolios
    • Familiarity with data layer architecture and maintenance frameworks in partnership with the Enterprise Analytics team
    • Ensure cross-client implementation consistency
    • Design and implement comprehensive tagging implementation strategies across multiple platforms
    • Create analytics configuration blueprints for diverse client tech stacks
    • Maintain detailed documentation for all client implementations
    • Manage software maintenance and configuration updates to ensure ongoing data availability
    • Develop and maintain expertise in existing and evolving MarTech platforms of interest to Unlock and its clients
  • Privacy, Compliance & Platform Expertise
    • Establish organizational stance on privacy and data strategy topics in partnership with the Compliance team
    • Lead client level legal governance and compliance initiatives, including ADA compliance program in partnership with the Compliance team
    • Develop expertise in consent management systems and first-party vs. third-party data strategy in partnership with the Data Platform and Enterprise Analytics teams
    • Ensure HIPAA-compliant data collection and processing frameworks for healthcare clients in partnership with the Enterprise Analytics team
    • Evaluate and provide strategic recommendations for privacy tools (i.e Freshpaint)
    • Standardize analytics implementations across Piwik and GA4 platforms
  • Performance Analysis & Client Insights
    • Conduct strategic performance measurement analysis across digital touchpoints
    • Develop digital components of integrated marketing reporting frameworks in partnership with Enterprise Analytics that translate complex data into actionable business insights
    • Create executive-level dashboards and measurement scorecards using cloud-based analytics platforms in partnership with the Enterprise Analytics team
    • Identify optimization opportunities through data analysis and present findings to stakeholders
  • User Testing & Experimentation Support
    • Collaborate with UX/UI and Digital Strategy teams to design measurement frameworks for user testing initiatives
    • Develop tracking strategies for A/B tests and multivariate experiments
    • Create analytics scenarios and configurations to measure user behavior and conversion optimization tests
    • Support experimentation planning by identifying key metrics and success criteria
    • Analyze test results and provide statistical insights on user experience improvements

Ideal Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in digital analytics, tag management, or data strategy
  • Proven experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Piwik and alternative analytics platforms
  • Experience with enterprise-level analytics implementations across multiple client portfolios
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy requirements
  • Experience supporting A/B testing and user experience optimization initiatives
  • Experience with ADA compliance and accessibility standards
  • Background in client portfolio management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Advanced knowledge of web analytics platforms
  • Strong proficiency with Piwik PRO including its privacy-compliant features and healthcare-specific configurations
  • Proficiency in tag management systems (GTM, Tealium, Adobe Launch)
  • Strong understanding of data layer structure and event tracking
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for measurement purposes
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics and data visualization tools (Lookr/Data Studio, Tableau, Marketing Cloud Intelligence)
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and SaaS analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of experimentation platforms (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize alternatives, HotJar, Trymata)
  • BigQuery experience
  • Knowledge of Snowflake
  • Ability to translate business requirements into measurement strategies
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience presenting complex data insights to executive audiences
  • Project management skills for multi-client environments
  • Statistical analysis skills for interpreting A/B test results and user research data
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation management
  • Strong written communication skills for creating comprehensive technical documentation
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking ability to develop organizational positions on industry topics
  • Change management experience for implementing new processes and standards
