We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Freelance Strategy Director to join our team, focusing on a critical client role with strong B2B lead gen needs. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the digital future for a leading client, driving impactful lead generation and business growth through innovative digital experiences.

As a freelance Strategy Director you will be a senior member of our team, acting as the strategic architect for our client, translating complex business challenges into actionable digital solutions. You will champion the user, building empathy for our clients’ audiences and turning human understanding into impactful experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

CONTRACT DETAILS

This is a freelance position starting Mid-August, running for two months. It would require full time hours:40 hours per week, and should not run over. Hourly rate is commensurate.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of digital strategies specifically designed to drive B2B lead generation for our clients, building customer personas, journeys, lead generation funnel strategies and content approaches.
  • Client Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, providing strategic direction and leadership, and proactively identifying opportunities to drive client value and new revenue.
  • Digital Experience Design: Provide strategic direction on product and experience initiatives, identifying key value propositions, consumer needs, and business value, with a strong emphasis on digital environments.
  • Insight Generation: Leverage a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques to generate original insights, ensuring strategies are rooted in deep understanding of business, brands, and customer interactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with creative, UX, analytics, and technology teams to ensure strategic recommendations are translated into distinctive, effective, and actionable digital experiences, products, and services.
  • Communication & Persuasion: Clearly and persuasively communicate complex strategic recommendations to internal and external audiences with varying levels of understanding.
  • Innovation & Future-Proofing: Contribute to identifying and exploring cutting-edge trends and methodologies in digital strategy, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • 10+ Years of Experience: A proven track record of over 10 years in digital strategy, with significant experience in building and optimizing digital experiences for B2B lead generation.
  • Industry Expertise: Ideally, you should have experience working with finance clients or other complex service industries.
  • Digital Product & Design Thinking: Strong proficiency in product strategy and design thinking, with a deep understanding of how technology shapes business, brands, and customer relationships in digital environments.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand and navigate the dynamics of a client’s business and the sector in which it operates, with an objective-focused and positive approach.
  • Results-Oriented: A strong commitment to driving measurable business outcomes and consistently seeking improvements.
  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to partner effectively with senior clients and lead cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to work well under pressure, with a high degree of flexibility and fluidity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity & Passion: An endless curiosity, a passion for creativity, innovation, and business strategy, and a drive towards high standards of excellence and integrity.
