JOB SUMMARY
The VP, IME Operations role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end operations of the Independent Medical Examination (IME) divisions. This role ensures operational excellence, quality service delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with organizational goals. The VP will lead cross-functional teams, drive process improvement, and play a key role in strategic planning and execution to support growth and client satisfaction.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all IME operations, including referral and board management, provider relations, scheduling, quality assurance, and reporting.
- Implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor efficiency and productivity. KPIs include turnaround time (TAT), Quality (measured via clarifications), Operational Issues (%), and customer feedback.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that optimize the IME workflow, reduce turnaround times, and improve service quality.
- Oversee provider network utilization, scheduling, case management, and quality assurance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, performance metrics, and process innovation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional operations team to support a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Drive operational efficiency, scalability, and standardization across regions or functional teams.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs, service level agreements (SLAs), and other performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Directors, Managers, and other key staff to build a high-performing, results-oriented culture.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations related to medical reviews, data privacy, and client contracts.
- Participate in executive leadership discussions, contributing to company-wide strategic planning.
Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare operations; IME or similar healthcare services experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record of operational excellence, staff leadership, and process improvement.
JOB RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Present exceptional communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines. The ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently and meet specific deadlines. Computer literacy and typing skills are essential.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Any lifting, bending, traveling, etc. required to do the job duties listed above. Long periods of sitting and computer work.
WORK FROM HOME TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Supply and support their own internet services.
Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is a requirement of all work from home position.
