ELEKS Project Management Office is looking for a Senior Project Manager in Germany, who is open to regular travel to Göttingen.

ABOUT PROJECT

Our client is a global leader in pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment, headquartered in Germany. Their products and services empower pharmaceutical researchers and laboratory professionals by streamlining workflows, minimizing human error, and accelerating critical R&D initiatives.

ELEKS is partnering with the client to develop cutting-edge software solutions that support biopharma process automation, including drug and vaccine manufacturing. Our engineering teams have already contributed to several applications aimed at optimizing the transition from development to full-scale production.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of proven experience in IT project management
  • Fluent (native-level) German and advanced English communication skills
  • Solid experience with Fixed-Price Projects (FPP)
  • Hands-on experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Strong background in managing mid-size to large-scale projects
  • Practical knowledge of the Earned Value Management (EVM) model
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and Waterfall project management
  • Familiarity with the PMBOK Guide and project management best practices
  • Deep understanding of IT systems and software development life cycles
  • Strong understanding of project financials: profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and resource utilization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe) would be a strong advantage
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Göttingen, Germany

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop full-scale project plans and track project tasks/milestones using appropriate tools
  • Effectively analyze and report on project status
  • Monitor project budgets (where applicable), ensuring efficient use of the investment
  • Confidently remediate at risk or underperforming projects in collaboration with project teams
  • Define project success criteria and communicate success criteria throughout the project life cycle
  • Conduct lessons learned and produce recommendations for future projects
  • Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within a project team
  • Motivate project resources and empower them to take accountability for their assigned tasks
