Job Description

  • Liaise with technology partners to implement Data warehouse projects to perform data validation (testing) across them (Datawarehouse, ODS or data lake implementation)
  • Good exposure to ETL processes, schedulers and integration tools like Data power
  • Expertise in working with multi-flavor data sources including RDBMS, NoSQL, Flat files ,csvs and Copybooks.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and alerting mechanisms to ensure trust in data
  • Data flow testing and integration testing between different databases like sql server, redshift, POSTGRES
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • As a self-starter, proactively research and understand the latest-and-greatest technology in the database related area
  • Contribute to and promote a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring peers and advocating for scalable and modern data practices
  • Track and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect trends, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with data engineers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless integration of testing efforts.
  • Lead a team of 5-6 test engineers
  • Work with team on web and mobile app testing

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, or related field
  • You have 7+ years of experience in data testing and leading a team of data test engineers
  • You possess strong knowledge in working with high volume transactional data
  • You have expertise in SQL Server/ Redshift; 10 out of 10 SQL Ninja analytic capabilities
  • You can extract information from multiple databases using complex query statements and advanced database tools
  • You have hands-on experience working with POSTGRES sql
  • You possess strong knowledge of Python
  • You have experience with website and mobile app testing
  • You have knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • You have a problem-solving mindset and can organize, analyze, and disseminate medium to large amount of information with great attention to detail and accuracy from design to deployment
  • You can effectively communicate with the team, leadership, and key stakeholders
  • You have experience in managing and mentoring a team of technical professionals
  • You have experience working with structured and semi-structured data (xml, json)
  • You possess strong documentation and communication skills

Pay Transparency: $135,000 – $145,000 annually

THIS ROLE IS HYBRID – 4 DAYS ON SITE

ONLY CANDIDATES LOCAL TO THE NYC METRO AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED
