Job description
EvenUp is on a mission to close the justice gap using technology and AI. We empower personal injury lawyers and victims to get the justice they deserve. Our products enable law firms to secure faster settlements, higher payouts, and better outcomes for victims injured through no fault of their own in vehicle collisions, accidents, natural disasters, and more.
We are one of the fastest-growing vertical SaaS companies in history, and we are just getting started. EvenUp is backed by top VCs, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, SignalFire, and Lightspeed. We are looking to expand our team with talented, driven, and collaborative individuals who seek to have a lasting impact. Learn more at www.evenuplaw.com.
We’re hiring a Chief of Staff to partner closely with our Chief Product Officer / Chief Legal Officer and support some of the company’s most complex and high-impact initiatives. This role is designed to significantly amplify executive effectiveness by taking ownership of deep analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional execution across product, legal, and technical workstreams.
This is a highly visible, high-leverage role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys diving deep into complex subject matter, and can translate dense inputs into clear insights and action. You’ll operate as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership, working closely with teams across product, data science, engineering, and legal in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working at least 3 days a week from our office hub in San Francisco.
What you’ll do:
Partner closely with the Chief Product Officer / Chief Legal Officer to prioritize initiatives, synthesize information across stakeholders, and support high-stakes decision-making
Lead deep quantitative and qualitative analysis, including working through complex spreadsheets, models, and datasets, and translating findings into executive-ready materials
Prepare clear, concise slides, memos, and summaries that distill complex legal, product, and technical subject matter into actionable insights
Work cross-functionally with product, data science, engineering, and legal teams to drive alignment, track progress, and unblock dependencies
Bring intellectual curiosity and product thinking by engaging directly with the product, evaluating what’s working, and identifying opportunities for improvement
What we look for:
Law degree or equivalent formal legal training, with professional experience in a legal or regulatory environment such as a law firm, in-house legal team, or legal operations role
3–8 years of experience in management consulting or strategy roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex, ambiguous workstreams
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with hands-on experience building analyses, working deeply in spreadsheets, and synthesizing data to support decision-making
Proven ability to produce executive-ready materials, including slides, memos, and written recommendations for senior leaders
Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, data, or technical teams in a technology or product-driven company
