Title: Senior Accountant

Reporting to: VP, Controller

Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our Bethesda, MD office. The ideal candidate will live in the Washington DC metro area and commute to the office 3 days each week. We have a modern office environment conducive to team building and collaboration located in downtown Bethesda, close to restaurants, gyms and the Metro. We meet in the office 3 days each week in order to collaborate and participate in training, coaching and team projects.

Our Finance team is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong technical and operational skills to handle all aspects of the accounting close and to assist with process improvements and system enhancements. This position is key to our accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a flexible and fast-paced environment and would like to learn full cycle accounting from journal entries to GAAP financial statements.

Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with the rest of the GL Team to Support VP Controller, VP of Financial Planning and Analysis and the CFO with all processes related to the accounting close

● Provide guidance to Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Accountant and others on accounting, internal controls, etc.

● Maintain FloQast, our financial close management software

● Prepare monthly journal entries with supporting documentation in accordance with US GAAP

● Maintain monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

● Review journal entries prepared by other team members

● Review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations maintained by other team members

● Leverage NetSuite, FloQast, SalesForce and other systems to automate and streamline close process

● Assist with special projects on an as needed basis

● Identify, document, and implement process changes and improvements

● Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information

including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy and Federal,

State, and local regulations

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

● 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting as an auditor and corporate accounting background strongly preferred

● Advanced in Microsoft Office suite

● NetSuite or other ERP system experience preferred

● Self-motivated and eager to learn; detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills

● Excellent verbal and written communicator

● Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines

● Ability to stay organized in physical and digital spaces

● US citizenship or permanent residency required

Base salary is dependent on many factors including, but not limited to education, experience and skills. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
