We are seeking a passionate and effective Scrum Master to join our WPP Enablement team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our development teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions that serve the diverse needs of the WPP ecosystem. You will champion Agile principles, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and help remove impediments to ensure our teams operate efficiently and effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technological backbone of the world’s largest advertising and marketing services company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Scrum & Agile Facilitation:

    • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) effectively and efficiently.
    • Ensure the team adheres to Scrum principles and practices, fostering a self-organizing and cross-functional environment.
    • Guide the team in understanding and applying Agile values and principles.
  • Coaching & Support:

    • Coach the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
    • Support the Product Owner in maintaining a clear and concise Product Backlog.
    • Help the team and organization understand and implement Scrum.
    • Provide guidance on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Impediment Removal:

    • Proactively identify and help remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve dependencies and blockers.
  • Performance & Transparency:

    • Help the team track and communicate progress, using relevant metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity) to foster transparency.
    • Facilitate continuous improvement within the team.
  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the development team and with the Product Owner.
    • Help manage expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

What you’ll need:

  • Proven Experience: Strong experience as a dedicated Scrum Master for software development teams.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) required.
  • Agile Knowledge: Solid understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies. Familiarity with other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban) is a plus.
  • Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and help resolve team-level problems and impediments.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and common development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
