About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in the US. You will manage end-to-end accounting processes, ensure compliance with US accounting and tax regulations, and support month-end and year-end closings. You’ll work closely with both finance and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records and support business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate accounting records for US operations, including general ledger entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis.
- Record sales and purchase transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax support.
- Ensure compliance with US accounting regulations and internal controls.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with audits (internal and external).
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure data accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role (ideally in the SaaS environment).
- Proficiency with accounting systems - NetSuite is a big plus
- Advanced Excel skills and solid command of other Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and accounting principles.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Nice to haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with US corporate tax filings and sales/use tax compliance.
- Experience in SaaS or technology companies.
