Job Description

We’re working in partnership with a Health Public Body on a significant long-term programme. Throughout the lifecycle of this work (and other wider public sector work we have), we anticipate needing support from experienced User-Centred Design Practitioners across a range of disciplines.

The volume of UCD support needed is currently being reviewed, so, for now, we’re inviting expressions of interest from individuals who would like to be considered for when opportunities arise.

We’re primarily looking for people open to Permanent or Fixed-Term Contracts, but we’re happy to hear from Contractors with relevant experience.

We’re keen to hear from practitioners at Mid, Senior, and Lead levels in:

  • User Research
  • Service Design
  • Content Design
  • Interaction Design

However if you’ve had other exposure within UCD, such as with Behavioural Design, Organisational Design, and Design thinking, we’d certainly be open to receiving your interest.

Qualifications

To be considered for future roles, you should have:

  • Experience working as a UCD Practitioner in a Multidisciplinary project setting
  • Experience working on GDS (Government Digital Service) projects, or the NHS standard equivalent
  • Experience in the UK public sector
  • Experience working on health-related projects or services

We’re especially interested in hearing from people who also bring:

  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design standards
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Leadership or mentoring experience (for Senior/Lead roles)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and location

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
