What does it feel like to be an IT Infrastructure Engineer in Netcompany?
By joining us as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our highly skilled agile consultants teams working within large-scale transformation projects, that impact the life of millions of EU citizens.
As an IT Infrastructure Domain Engineer, you will:
- Contribute to the implementation and deployment of new and existing technologies to improve our infrastructure and operational efficiency.
- Work hands-on with both on-premises and cloud technologies, including operating systems, virtualization, databases, security, networking, firewalling, and containerization (such as Kubernetes and Openshift).
- Implement and maintain infrastructure solutions, ensuring security best practices are embedded in every deployment.
- Assist with maintaining the uninterrupted operation of services and platforms, whether hosted in a data center or on public cloud providers like Azure and AWS/GCP.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure standards and security frameworks.
- Assist in monitoring infrastructure and operational services to ensure they adhere to agreed-upon security and service levels.
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.
- Familiarity with Application Servers (IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache/Tomcat) and 2-Tier/3-Tier architecture.
- Experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V), and container orchestration platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Go for administration and automation purposes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (Firewall, Load Balancing, Routing).
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English, with strong interpersonal abilities.
