About DebtBook

We founded DebtBook in 2019 to provide modern treasury and accounting software for state and local governments, higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. Our platform helps these organizations automate financial workflows and gain data insights, freeing them to focus on strategic leadership.

We serve over 2,100 customers nationwide. Our products include:

  • Debt Management: Consolidates treasury and debt accounting data, automates financial reporting, and tracks continuing disclosure filings.
  • Cash Management: Provides tools for cash flow control, accurate forecasting, fraud detection, and automated daily cash positioning.
  • Investments Management: Manages investments post-trade, ensuring liquidity, governance, and compliance with GASB 31, 40, and 72 through automated data integrations.
  • Lease Management: Our platform for GASB 87 compliance, automating audit and reporting tasks.
  • Subscription Management: We simplify GASB 96 compliance for subscription-based IT arrangements, including audit note and journal entry exports.
  • Contract Management: Centralizes post-signature contract portfolios, streamlines collection and maintenance, provides spend insights, and integrates with Lease and Subscription Management for GASB 87 and GASB 96 compliance.

Our engineering team uses a full-stack approach with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, AWS hosting, GitLab CI/CD, and feature flags. We use Terraform on AWS for infrastructure development.
