About the Role

Weโ€™re hiring a hands-on Senior Accountant (CA preferred) in Mumbai with 5-7 years of Big Four and/or in-house controllership experience. • Deliver complete, accurate trial balances and supporting schedules; investigate variances and propose corrections.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forwards (cash, AR, deferred revenue, accruals, FA, GL tie-outs).

Controllership & Compliance

  • Strengthen and operate internal controls, policies, and SOPs.

  • Support statutory/financial statements for India legal entities; coordinate statutory and tax audits (Companies Act, tax audit), and provide schedules for GST/TDS teams.

  • Partner with AP/AR, Payroll, and FP&A to ensure end-to-end data integrity (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report).

Technical Accounting & Projects

  • Apply accounting guidance to complex areas (revenue recognition/ASC 606, leases/Ind AS 116, share-based comp, capitalization policies, foreign currency).

  • Drive process improvements and automation (close checklists, reconciliation tools, ERP enhancements, close KPIs).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5โ€“10 years in assurance/advisory at a Big Four and/or in-house controllership; prior exposure to fast-paced tech/marketplace environments is a plus.

  • Education/Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred; CPA/ACCA a plus.

  • Technical: Solid grasp of Ind AS/IFRS (U.S. GAAP exposure a plus), consolidation, multi-currency accounting, and audit coordination.

  • Tools: Advanced Excel; experience with ERP (NetSuite), close/reconciliation tools, and reporting (Workiva/Power BI or similar).

  • Skills: Detail-oriented, ownership mindset, clear communicator, comfortable working across time zones and deadlines.

Working Model

  • Location: Mumbai, India (hybrid).

  • Collaborate with EMEA/U.S. teams; occasional evening overlap during close/audit peaks.

Nice to Have

  • SaaS revenue and deferred revenue experience; usage/billed-in-arrears models.

  • Experience with SOX controls design/testing and IPO/readiness.

  • Familiarity with GST/TDS workflows and e-invoicing integrations.
