Job Description
About the role
Our team champions SEO excellence by sharing best practices across the organisation so products are built SEO-ready. We focus on attracting high-quality visitors to the platform and guiding them toward the most meaningful next actions, whether that’s an app download, registration, login, JDV view or application. We specialise in understanding and serving non-loyal SEO visitors and bots ensuring their needs are met with precision. While our expertise is rooted in external search engines like Google, we’re equipped to apply SEO principles anywhere search happens from ChatGPT to YouTube to the App Store.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, test, and ship scalable, cloud‑native services from dev to production.
- Improve platform health: reliability, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Build for search: crawlability, indexation, structured data, speed, and conversion.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents; participate in on‑call as needed.
- Collaborate in a cross‑functional squad with Product, Design, Data, and SEO specialists.
- Use data, experimentation, and observability to inform decisions and iterate quickly.
- Contribute to Agile rituals and a strong DevOps culture; communicate clearly and with empathy.
- Share knowledge, support onboarding, and help foster a healthy, inclusive team.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
Essential
- Ability to write effective, testable, maintainable, and secure code in more than one language.
- Practical experience with modern engineering practices, design patterns, and data modeling.
- Proficiency with CI/CD and cloud‑native development.
- Experience delivering in Agile, cross‑functional teams.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Comfort with TDD/BDD and clean coding principles; you value code quality and clarity.
- Growth mindset: you mentor, invite feedback, and care about team wellbeing.
Nice to have
- Shipping in two or more modern languages (e.g., Java/Kotlin, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Python).
- Experience with experimentation (A/B tests), analytics, and data‑driven decision making.
- Operational experience: incident response, observability, and on‑call.
- Contributions to communities of practice, open source, or speaking engagements.
