Requirements

What you’ll do

As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving new business and building long-term partnerships in the Benelux region. You’ll own the full commercial cycle: from mapping opportunities and engaging new partners to negotiating contracts and closing high-impact deals.

Above all, you will proactively create opportunities, not wait for them.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with CPOs, EMSPs, and enterprise partners.

  • Activate your existing network and continuously expand it to create new conversations and qualified leads.

  • Own the full business development cycle: market mapping → outreach → consultative solutioning → negotiation → close → handover.

  • Translate customer needs into concrete, today-deliverable Road solutions (not hypothetical future features).

  • Build and execute go-to-market strategies for Benelux, aligned with Road’s commercial objectives.

  • Develop meaningful relationships with key industry players and ecosystem partners.

  • Collaborate closely with our core commercial team - Sales Engineers, Business Support (for migrations), and Customer Success (for onboarding) - to ensure seamless delivery and high customer satisfaction.

  • Represent Road at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

  • Deliver accurate pipeline forecasts and continuously optimize your sales process (Salesforce).

Act as an ambassador of Road’s culture: sociable, present, and committed to going the extra mile for customers and colleagues.

Your impact

  • Make Road one of the most recognized EV software solutions in the Benelux region.

  • Make Road the number 1 platform to migrate to.

  • Add strong new logos to Road via active prospecting on selected accounts (account-based selling).

  • Help refine our market approach and shape future product direction through insights from the field.

  • Strengthen Road’s presence through authentic relationship building and consistent commercial activity.

Who you are

We imagine you bring the experience, drive, and commercial instincts to match our mission.

You have:

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS or technology sales experience (preferably EV / energy / mobility).

  • A proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals.

  • A strong, relevant network - and the ability to activate and expand it.

  • A proactive, high-energy approach: you chase opportunities, connect the dots fast, and follow through.

  • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to understand customer pains deeply.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - you’re a relationship builder and a deal closer.

  • A structured, metrics-driven approach to pipeline and forecasting.

  • Familiarity with value-based selling methodologies.

  • Fluency in English and Dutch (French is a plus).

  • A cultural fit with Road: sociable, collaborative, and excited to be in the office and with customers.

Based in the Netherlands - work from home 1 day a week.
