We are an international non-profit founded in 2009 with 51-200 employees. We focus on climate finance, green bonds, sustainable finance, and responsible investment.

Our goal is to mobilize global capital for climate action and resilience. We aim to create a large and liquid Green and Climate Bonds market, which helps reduce capital costs for climate projects and improves access to affordable debt in emerging markets.

Since 2010, we’ve helped grow the green bond market, now valued at over $6 trillion. We screen self-labelled green bonds against a science-based methodology to ensure they meet climate goals and environmental standards, maintaining market integrity.

We offer Certification services, provide data and insights, and give expert policy and technical advice. We also develop science-aligned frameworks, including taxonomies and standards, and research climate-related investment opportunities, such as the GSS+ debt pipeline in climate leader countries.

Our Climate Bonds Network connects institutional investors, NGOs, and the finance sector, fostering collaboration in sustainable finance.
