We use the latest machine learning and computer vision technology to build products that enable easy data capture using smartphones and other devices, such as stationary cameras. Image annotation is the process of labelling individual elements of training data (i.e. image or video) to help machines understand what exactly is in it and what is important.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Image Annotation Specialist. This role is ideal for a university or technical college student looking to gain practical experience with innovative technology. The person in this role will support the Data, Product, and Engineering teams in enhancing the accuracy and quality of our deep learning models. They will contribute to the excellent performance of Scandit products by using data annotation tools to accurately label and annotate images. The successful candidate will be passionate about AI and machine learning and will play a crucial role in creating the high-quality image datasets that drive our innovations.
What You Will Do
- Performing annotation and data labeling according to project guidelines.
- Conducting Quality Assurance (QA) checks to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and consistency in the annotated data.
- Contributing to understanding and structuring quality issues in the data.
- Reviewing annotation guidelines and providing constructive feedback for process improvement.
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of specialized image annotation software through comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Collaborating with the team to refine and develop dataset annotation processes.
- Communicating effectively with team members to ensure project alignment and resolve issues
Who We Look For
- A current university or technical college student seeking practical experience and exposure to innovative technology.
- Someone with professional working proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).
- A candidate with basic computer skills and comfort in learning new software.
- Someone experienced with or comfortable handling large datasets.
- A person able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and with high accuracy.
- A candidate with strong communication and analytical skills.
- Someone highly motivated and eager to learn.
- A candidate with a genuine interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in data annotation, image labeling, or a similar role.
- Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) processes or methodologies.
