We are currently expanding our SOFTWARE & IT SERVICES and are looking for a Master Data Lifecycle Steward to join our growing team and help deliver high quality projects to our clients.
Job Description
• Data Governance and Quality
• Define and maintain data quality standards within the organization
• Monitor and supervise data quality on an ongoing basis
• Establish governance rules and data management policies
• Resolve quality issues identified in systems
• Proactively identify data quality issues across all Socotec repositories
• Define data quality improvement strategies, both on technical and operational aspects
• Implement performance indicators and data quality monitoring metrics
• Data Lifecycle Management
• Oversee the entire data lifecycle: creation, collection, storage, use, archiving and deletion
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across different systems
• Validate data collection and enrichment processes
• Documentation and Metadata
• Document definitions and business rules associated with data
• Maintain metadata and data dictionaries
• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation
• Business-Technical Interface
• Serve as an intermediary between business teams and technical teams
• Translate business needs into technical specifications
• Train and raise user awareness of data management best practices
• Compliance and Regulation
• Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, etc.)
• Implement necessary controls to meet legal obligations
• Manage access rights and data security
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or data management (Bachelor’s + 5 years)
• Specialization in data management, data governance or database administration
• 5 to 7 years of experience in database management or data management
• Proven experience in managing enterprise repositories
• Knowledge of data governance and lifecycle issues
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL database management systems (DBMS)
• Expertise in database administration and optimization
• Knowledge of data quality and data governance tools
• Skills in data modeling and architecture
• Mastery of backup, archiving and data restoration processes
• Familiarity with data protection regulations (GDPR, etc.)
• Leadership and ability to unite cross-functional teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Analytical approach and complex problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
• Autonomy, rigor and sense of anticipation
• Strategic vision and innovation capability
• Fluent French and English
