About Foundation for Economic Education

The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. For over 75 years, FEE has been committed to inspiring and educating individuals on the values of personal freedom, entrepreneurship, and sound economic thinking. Through various programs, publications, and events, FEE empowers individuals to understand the economic principles that drive prosperity and fosters a society rooted in individual rights and limited government.

About the President’s Office

The President’s Office is responsible for advancing FEE’s mission and vision, ensuring FEE’s strategy, teams, and stakeholders are aligned for maximum impact. Through leadership, strategic oversight, external partnerships, and organizational stewardship, the office works to foster a culture and reputation of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. By setting priorities, guiding key initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners, the President’s Office ensures that FEE continues to grow and fulfill its mission effectively.

About the role

This role is ideal for someone who is curious, observant, and eager to learn how leadership decisions are made at FEE. As part of the President’s Office, you’ll gain a front-row seat to the organization’s daily decision-making and strategic priorities. You’ll help track key initiatives, support communication between leadership and different teams, and identify ways to improve internal processes and alignment.

The work involves research, coordination, and thoughtful observation—helping the President’s Office stay connected to ongoing projects while learning how to manage competing priorities across an organization. This is not a finance or policy internship, nor is it focused on external communications. Instead, you’ll be supporting leadership strategy, cross-team coordination, and process improvements. The role is preferably based in Atlanta.

This role is open to part-time or full-time, onsite or remote intern talent.

Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist with Project Nexus, an important internal initiative at FEE focused on strengthening organizational processes and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
  • Research & Preparation: Help gather background information and prepare materials to support the President’s projects and meetings.
  • Scheduling Assistance: Support the organization of the President’s calendar by helping coordinate priorities and preparing weekly briefings.
  • Documentation: Draft summaries, internal memos, and simple strategic outlines to keep teams aligned on ongoing projects.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Help connect different teams by supporting communication and collecting updates across departments.
  • Progress Tracking: Assist in monitoring project deliverables and deadlines, sending reminders, and keeping records organized

Skills

  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail when tracking projects, taking notes, and organizing information.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and keep information well structured.
  • Clear Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting summaries, memos, and updates.
  • Curiosity & Initiative: Genuine interest in learning how leadership decisions are made and how organizations operate.
  • Analytical Thinking: Comfort with research, connecting insights, and supporting problem-solving efforts.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to work across teams, gather input, and help coordinate communication.
  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality, represent the President’s Office with maturity, and adapt to fast-paced priorities

$5,500 - $7,500 a year
