The Thomas Sales organization is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director, Supplier Sales to join our team! In this leadership role, you will play a critical role in growing our advertiser base, driving consistent revenue performance, and ensuring our customers are leveraging the full breadth of Thomas digital marketing solutions. You will lead a team of Account Executives and be responsible for achieving ambitious sales and growth goals for the supplier sales channel.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a data-driven sales strategy to grow Thomas’ core supplier customer base and drive adoption of our advertising and digital marketing solutions. Align your strategy with Thomas’s overall business objectives and market demands.
  • Sales Team Leadership and Coaching: Lead and develop a team of Account Executives, providing coaching and guidance to help them achieve their individual and team sales goals. Foster a collaborative and high-performing sales environment.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the supplier sales process to effective pipeline management, strengthen forecasting discipline, and improve overall sales execution and customer outcomes.
  • Metrics and Analytics: Track and analyze key sales metrics to measure performance against targets and identify areas for improvement. Develop and deliver reports to provide insights into supplier sales performance and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal stakeholders across various teams (e.g., Campaign Management, Product, Marketing) to ensure a seamless supplier onboarding experience and successful supplier partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales leadership (Proven success in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry is a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful sales strategies for complex B2B environments
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry, supply chain dynamics, and supplier relationship management best practices
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams and achieve ambitious sales goals
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel as need
  • Ability to work onsite 3 days a week
