Job Purpose

As a Systems Operations Administrator, you will own and continuously improve the day-to-day operation of our internal IT systems. This role is hands-on and operational by design, with a strong focus on IT administration, supported by security best practices. You will ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable while proactively reducing operational friction for teams across the business.

Areas of Responsibility

IT Administration & Systems Operations

  • Manage and support company devices (Windows/macOS) using MDM tools.
  • Administer core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, etc.).
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding with a focus on automation and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot system, application, and performance issues for local and remote staff.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and internal IT standards.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term fixes or automation to reduce support load.

Security & Access Management

  • Manage user access and permissions across systems using least-privilege principles.
  • Monitor and enforce security policies across endpoints and cloud tools.
  • Support security initiatives including MDM compliance, MFA enforcement, device hardening, DLP and access auditing.
  • Assist with audits, access reviews, and security reporting when required.
  • Collaborate on improving security posture without slowing teams down.

Requirements:

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a systems administration or IT operations role.
  • Experience managing users and devices in Google Workspace.
  • Comfortable administering SaaS tools and identity/access systems.
  • Solid understanding of IT security fundamentals.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SSO, IAM, and access automation.

  • Exposure to compliance frameworks or security audits.

  • Experience supporting hybrid or fully remote teams.

  • Practical networking knowledge (VPNs, Wi-Fi, DNS, firewalls, SSO).
