Job Title: Accounting Analyst

Location: Remote

Work Shift: PST Timezone

Working Hours: 20 hours per week/ Part-time initially

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to assist our accounting team with various data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, an understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage large volumes of financial data with precision. This role will focus on entering financial data accurately and ensuring that records are maintained in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and manage accounting tasks using NetSuite.

  • Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.

  • Assist in bill input, ensuring correct coding and timely processing using Bill.com.

  • Process emails and bills daily to maintain up-to-date financial records.

  • Support cost mapping and allocation aligned with job or project codes.

  • Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and reports.

  • Verify and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and process relevant financial data.

  • Contribute to accounts payable/receivable activities, including invoice tracking and payment processing.

  • Update and manage spreadsheets and financial databases.

  • Provide documentation and data to support internal audits.

  • Take initiative on ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)

  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles and practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Bill.com

  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar platforms, with exposure to payroll and general ledger functions (a plus)

  • Prior experience in accounting or data entry roles (a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret and manage data effectively

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines

  • Clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a collaborative approach

  • Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
