JOB PURPOSE

Today’s brands are built on social. But only with a clear understanding of consumers’ perceptions and reactions can we steer brands into the future.

We are looking for a Director of Analytics (Organic Social) to build and lead an innovative social intelligence operation within DEPT. You will shape how we measure, analyze, and act on insights to inform Always On strategies, campaigns, and creative development for some of the world’s most forward-thinking brands.

This is an opportunity to create something new within DEPT, defining best practices, processes, and frameworks that will scale across teams. Your collaboration, mentorship, and impact will shape our team’s understanding of this discipline, and your work will elevate our strategy and creative work across always-on content and global campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Shape DEPT’s organic analytics proposition, partnering with leadership to define our vision, standards, and processes for measurement and reporting.
  • Develop scalable approaches that align with platform best practices and meet client objectives.
  • Educate internal and external teams on our proposition and approach.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, providing clear guidance, growth opportunities, and fostering a culture of curiosity and rigor.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across client portfolios, building strong relationships with Strategy, Creative, and Client Partner teams.
  • Close the loop on the creative process, partnering with Strategy and Creative to translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform content and publishing decisions.
  • Contribute hands-on, delivering clear, data-backed guidance for Always On and campaign planning.
  • Continuously examine and evolve our tooling and tech stack, evaluating and implementing social analytics, listening, and reporting tools that advance our capabilities.
  • Partner with our AI team to build proprietary tools that empower analysts and drive efficiency.
  • Become a trusted partner to our clients, presenting measurement frameworks and strategic recommendations with clarity and confidence.
  • Simplify complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive action.
  • Stay on the pulse of emerging platform trends, content formats, and measurement best practices, sharing learnings to keep our teams and clients ahead.

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years in social analytics, social intelligence, or social strategy within an agency environment.
  • Deep expertise in organic social measurement, performance optimization, and aligning insights with creative and content strategies.
  • Strong understanding of social platform ecosystems, with hands-on experience using tools like Brandwatch, Pulsar, Sprout, Khoros, and Sprinklr.
  • A track record of developing scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards that deliver clarity and drive impact.
  • The ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations, partnering seamlessly with creative, strategy, and client teams.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with confidence in client-facing settings.
  • A curious mindset and a passion for shaping how brands use social data to drive real business results.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

We are a collaborative, open-door, best-idea-wins environment that fosters personal and company growth and has fun doing it. Here is a snapshot of our  benefits package:
