Art Directors play essential roles in the strategy, conception and design of beautiful ideas, products and services. They bring exceptional creative thought and they craft output, developing and delivering projects from the brief to end user.
As an Art Director at AKQA, you’ll conceive and develop ideas that solve important client problems. By thinking beyond briefs and imagining approaches our clients may not have asked for – or even thought possible – you’ll be helping to build AKQA’s reputation for work that is both ground-breaking and influential.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Possess not just exceptional art direction skills, but the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking as well.
- Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, UX/visual designers and technologists to develop innovative and persuasive concepts.
- Drive the development of creative ideas for new business pitches and other important agency initiatives.
- Leads by example to inspire colleagues to originate pioneering ideas that deliver successful solutions.
- Be accountable for the project design deliverables and manage the quality of all design deliverables to ensure they meet AKQA standards for creative excellence.
- Embrace challenges and inspire new ways of thinking.

- Strong industry experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience in client work within Japan, with the ability to communicate effectively with both team members and clients in both Japanese and English.
