The AVP, Reinsurance Integration & Operations plays a key role in the end-to-end integration, operations & settlements of deals/transactions and our growing reinsurance portfolios. Oversees compliance of the reinsurance contractual requirements. Our Reinsurance Integration & Operations capability needs to be high functioning, stable and nimble to handle business growth in a rapidly changing environment. We are a high performing team that is available to meet the demands of a highly analytical workforce delivering on critical timelines to support our business objectives. This is a remote role.
What You Will Do:
- Participate in the onboarding of reinsurance deals/transactions from due diligence through closing and transition to business-as-usual processing.
- Collaborate with Counterparties and other external partners, as well as our internal functions across Information Technology, Finance, Operations, Actuarial, Investments and the New Business teams.
- Lead the reinsurance operations systems & processes, including coordination of counterparty settlement & treaty reporting requirements and operational support to controls and financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of reinsurance analysis and remittances, ensuring proper controls and tracking, and completion of outstanding receivables / payables that are due to / from cedants.
- Lead initiatives with Operations leaders to define our model reinsurance office, including project management of gaps, solutions implementation, KPIs, etc.
- Supervise and coach a team of senior associates and associates and manage their day-to-day responsibilities with the broader AVP/VP Ops leaders.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and enable a high-performing team.
- Simplify, streamline and document operational and integration processes and playbooks, including collaborating across teams to further optimize efficiencies, capabilities.
- Project management of other operational and strategic initiatives.
What You Will Have:
- University degree, MBA or Graduate Degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant post-qualification experience within re/insurance.
- Expertise in re/insurance transactions structures, processes, systems and controls.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, and STAT reporting standards.
- Experience leading time sensitive client facing projects and proven experience in successful execution.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to look at all matters creatively and with ingenuity.
- Possess project management, business and collaboration skills, and be responsive to service needs and operational demands.
- Interest in/ability to lead, manage and coach senior associates and associates.
- Proven track record of liaising with a diverse team across multiple departments.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
- Detail oriented, organized, motivated and results oriented.
- Proven ability to work independently.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
Base Salary Range
$120,000—$165,000 USD
