Description
About Fulcrum: We’re a team of tech-savvy, creative & passionate IT professionals. We’ve created a vibrant and performance-driven culture for ourselves where everyone is free to think & act outside the box. There are literally no limits to what you can do here, as long as we WOW our clients and OVER deliver what we promise.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Back-end Developer to strengthen one of our flagship products — a unique gaming-related app that rewards users with real-world prizes for playing their favorite games (non-gambling). The system is under high load and requires expert-level knowledge in architecture, scalability, and maintainability.
You’ll be joining a team of 6 Developers, 2 QAs, 2 Designers, and a Business Unit on the client side. The current challenge is to mature the product’s architecture, improve service consistency, and lead the evolution of the back-end ecosystem under heavy usage.
Requirements
3+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript; solid knowledge of NestJS and Prisma.
Strong SQL skills ( PostgreSQL).
Experience with AWS
Hands-on with Redis, caching strategies.
Background in high-load microservices and event-driven systems (e.g., NATS, JetStream).
Understanding of security, scalability, and maintainability best practices.
Proven experience in fraud detection/prevention.
Proactive, structured, and self-driven — comfortable with loosely defined problems.
Strong communicator and team player who contributes expertise and drives improvements.
Would be cool:
Experience with Google Ads, Stripe, Appsflyer.
Familiarity with Linux/bash, Kubernetes
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
Experience with Terraform, ArgoCD.
Key responsibilities
Audit and assess current microservices architecture for performance and scalability issues.
Refactor existing services and improve architecture under high load.
Develop robust, maintainable, and secure features.
Fix bugs and eliminate bottlenecks in existing codebases.
Create clear documentation for services, flows, and architecture.
Collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders to define priorities and technical direction.
Our current goals
Mature the platform: ensure everything is tested, consistent, maintainable.
Improve architectural consistency across services and providers.
Deliver new features while navigating limited resources and high load.
Foster a strong engineering culture rooted in quality, communication, and accountability.
