About the Role:
We are looking for a Basketball Trading & Analytics Manager to strengthen our basketball vertical. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, quality, and profitability of our basketball offering. Unlike a trading role, this position is analysis-focused - you will not be directly responsible for trading,Instead, you will:
- Monitor tournament streams, evaluate trading performance, and ensure our basketball matches are traded in a superior way.
- Analyze and assess betting lines within match periods (quarters, halves, overtime) to ensure trading accuracy.
- Analyze betting activity from our sportsbook clients to identify irregularities or suspicious patterns.
- Detect possible fraud or manipulation within matches and recommend solutions.
- Provide structured analytical reports that improve the efficiency and reliability of our basketball tournaments.
This role sits at the intersection of sports analytics, trading quality control, and integrity monitoring, and is a unique opportunity to influence the growth of one of BETER’s most dynamic sports products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor basketball tournament streams vs bets and evaluate match integrity.
- Analyze sportsbook betting data for unusual patterns or inconsistencies.
- Verify trading accuracy and ensure traders performance meets BETER standards.
- Detect and document potential fraud cases, delivering actionable insights.
- Create structured reports and recommendations for trading improvements.
- Collaborate with trading, product, and operations teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support scaling of the basketball vertical with analytical insights and quality control.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of tools that improve analytical processes and trading oversight.
Requirements:
- Strong passion for basketball and understanding of the game’s dynamics 2+ years of experience in basketball trading, betting or analytics
- Familiarity with sportsbook operations, betting patterns, and fraud detection principles.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- High attention to detail and ability to spot irregularities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English: Upper-Intermediate+.
- Proficiency with Excel, BI tools, or data analysis software (advantage).
