Maven is looking for a highly creative and results-oriented Brand Designer III to join our Brand Design Team. In this role, you will take the lead in evolving and elevating Maven’s visual identity across every touchpoint—from digital and web to video and social media. You’ll work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to craft compelling design strategies and breakthrough creative that deeply resonates with our audience and reinforces our brand’s position as a category leader.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional design execution skills, particularly in brand development. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our visual storytelling to drive meaningful engagement and brand recognition.

As a Brand Designer III at Maven, you will be responsible for:

  • Brand Strategy: Develop visual brand strategies that align with our business goals, and proactively propose solutions to help improve project outcomes.
  • Visual Identity: Build upon and evolve our brand guidelines by establishing sophisticated visual systems across a range of project types, including marketing and product.
  • Multi-Channel: Conceptualize and execute high-impact design across diverse formats: paid media, email campaigns, web experiences, landing pages, and video content
  • Demonstrate versatility in applying design thinking to varied channels while maintaining cohesion across all outputs
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment and work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Present creative concepts to teams across the organization in a clear and compelling manner
  • Brand Guidelines: Strive to maintain the brand standard across all projects and ensure consistency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of visual design experience, with a strong focus on branding and performance marketing
  • Skills: Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, with a focus in motion design and/or illustration
  • Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of brand identities, digital marketing principles, website design best practices, and performance marketing metrics.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders and gather feedback.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an agency or growth-stage startup environment
  • Experience designing for health, tech, or wellness brands

The base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week  (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C., we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to attend quarterly Work Together Days within these cities. This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.
