The Business Analyst will be responsible for driving product and operational excellence.Β This person will be required to work cross-functionally to help translate data, user insights, and business needs for the product. The Business Analyst will shape product direction through competitive analysis, user research, and data-driven recommendations. The role requires strong analytical thinking and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, feature, gaps, and performance differentiators for the product.
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence reports to inform product strategy and roadmap planning.
- Analyze user journeys to uncover friction points and recommend optimization strategies for integration and user experience.
- Support the “Ready for Development” process by reviewing tickets for completeness, clarifying details, and refining tickets with development team for points assignment.
- Resolve blockers to ensure tickets progress efficiently throughout the development cycle.
- Partner with developers on aging issues to make sure timely updates are communicated to support teams and customers.
- Track, review, and report on the status of releases and project deliverables.
- Maintain details on any issues, automations, and workflow changes.
- Support sprint planning and sprint reviews by providing relevant data and analysis, as well as presenting data insights and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Translate research insights into actionable product enhancement proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
- MBA or relevant graduate degree strongly preferred.
- 2-4 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or a similar role in a software or technology company.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other project management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data and user feedback into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated success in driving product improvements in usability, performance, or customer satisfaction through research and analysis.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis and customer journey mapping.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of different data connectors, APIs, and SaaS-based products is a plus.
