Job description
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Recruitment Business Developer to identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within the recruitment sector. This is a key role focused on expanding our client base, building lasting relationships, and driving revenue growth through tailored recruitment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and strategic outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and senior decision-makers.
- Understand client hiring needs and present bespoke recruitment solutions across permanent and contract staffing.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close new client agreements.
- Collaborate closely with the recruitment delivery team to ensure seamless onboarding and successful client delivery.
- Log and manage all business development activity in our CRM system.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover new business opportunities.
- Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the recruitment industry (agency or in-house).
- Solid understanding of recruitment service models (permanent and contract), with a client-focused mindset.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales pipelines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Desirable:
- Industry knowledge in sectors such as technology, healthcare, or finance.
- Experience in a 360-recruitment role.
- Existing portfolio of clients or a developed professional network.
