Job description
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Character Artist to bring compelling characters to life. You’ll have a strong eye for form, anatomy, and detail, and enjoy collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality assets that align with our visual goals.
In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Character Artist and other departments to model, texture, and refine 3D characters for use in-game. You’ll contribute to the development of our character pipeline, iterate on feedback, and help maintain visual consistency across the project.
The rundown:
12 month fixed term contract
Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Fully remote within the UK
Salary is competitive and dependent on experience
Key responsibilities:
Create high-quality 3D character models and textures.
Collaborate with rigging and animation teams for integration.
Ensure assets meet technical and artistic standards.
Optimize characters for performance across platforms.
Apply feedback and iterate on designs.
Support documentation of workflows and best practices.
Stay current with tools and trends in character art.
The skills you’ll need:
At least 3 years of professional experience in Character Art.
Proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
Understanding of anatomy, form, and topology.
Experience creating game-ready character assets.
Ability to work from concept art and adapt to feedback.
Solid communication and collaboration skills.
The nice to haves:
Knowledge of skinning and blendshapes.
Interest in stylized or narrative-driven character design.
