Job Summary:

The Chief of Staff for the Supply Chain in our AI Hyperscaler environment will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and cross-functional collaboration within the global supply chain. This senior leadership position requires a deep understanding of Gen AI infrastructure and supply chain management. You will work closely with the executive team, supply chain managers, engineering teams, and external partners to ensure seamless operations and scalability in support of our growing AI infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Rhythm Coordination:

  • Coordinate and track progress on OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the supply chain team, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and timely execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the scheduling and execution of Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), ensuring effective reporting, discussion, and decision-making related to supply chain performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
  • Facilitate business rhythm processes by ensuring regular cadence of reviews, status updates, and action plans are in place to maintain alignment and accountability across teams.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain health, cost efficiency, and service levels across global AI data centers and infrastructure.

Strategic Leadership & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with senior executives to define and align supply chain strategies with the broader organizational goals, particularly in the rapidly evolving AI and cloud infrastructure space.

  • Drive the alignment of supply chain processes, performance metrics, and resource allocation across all global regions, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

  • Act as a liaison between leadership teams, supply chain operations and engineering to ensure alignment on operational and strategic goals.

  • Facilitate communication between different functional areas to address challenges, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure the flow of information across departments.

Vendor & Partner Management:

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to resource allocation, vendor performance, and infrastructure scaling in the AI context.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to data security, privacy, and ethical AI use.
  • Monitor for potential disruptions in the AI supply chain and proactively take steps to address and minimize any impact on operations.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably with a focus on cloud infrastructure, AI technologies, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Strong consultant experience with companies such as Bain, McKinsey, BCG etc. is required, with a demonstrated ability to bring strategic insights, structure complex problems, and lead impactful change management across supply chain operations, particularly in fast-moving, technology-driven environments.
  • Proven track record in managing and optimizing global supply chains, particularly in technology-driven industries such as AI, cloud computing, or hyperscaler environments.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-visibility projects involving supply chain, cloud infrastructure, and hyperscaler operations.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with supply chain management tools and demand forecasting models, including those used for AI resource management.
  • Experience with advanced data analytics for operational decision-making, performance optimization, and forecasting in a cloud or hyperscaler environment.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, SCPro), AI/Cloud technologies, or project management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align global supply chain initiatives with business goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex supply chain challenges in the AI hyperscaler environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across geographically distributed teams and diverse stakeholders to achieve operational success.
  • Data-Driven: Highly analytical, leveraging data to guide decisions, drive improvements, and optimize supply chain processes.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with systems for supply chain and capacity planning.
  • Experience managing high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure supply chains.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $200,000 - $250,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
