Requirements

What you will be doing:

The Commercial Lines Account Manager candidate needs to be a self-starter, well organized, highly detailed individual possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as having a solid commercial lines insurance knowledge base. The position plays a key role in ensuring ongoing consistency as well as managing the day-to-day servicing, renewals, and new business.

Activities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage the entire account-service process

  • Prepare quotes and proposals

  • Ensure accounts renew in a timely fashion without lapse in coverage

  • Check policies/endorsements/audits for accuracy

  • Coordinate premium financing and the collection of premiums

  • Maintain relationships with underwriters at appointed carriers and wholesalers

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Maintain a General Property & Casualty license in Texas

  • Commercial Property Insurance experience preferred

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in an independent commercial insurance agency preferred

  • High School/GED required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Ability to work independently

  • Agency management system experience. EPIC, TAM or AMS360 preferred

  • Strong work ethic timely follow-up, team oriented, proactive, detail oriented, and dependable

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Analytical and solutions-oriented

  • High degree of multi-tasking and organization skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting Salary $60,000/yr. with performance reviews with salary increase opportunities every 6 months

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
