Job description
Description
As a Cyber & Information Security Manager at Payter, you make sure our digital environment is secure. You’ll be part of a close-knit team and work on all areas of cyber and information security. Together with your colleagues, you help build safe solutions and systems to protect our customers and our business. You’ll create security policies, check system settings, assess risks, and lead audits and tests. You’ll also answer security questions from customers and ensure we meet important rules and standards like PCI-DSS and GDPR. When incidents happen, you stay calm and guide the team through the response and recovery.
What makes this job special?
You’ll have real impact in a fast-growing company that’s always moving forward. At Payter, you’ll work with modern technologies in a booming and innovative market. You get the freedom to shape your role and collaborate with people who value your ideas and input. We offer flexible working options—hybrid or remote (within the Netherlands or the UK)—and we care about your wellbeing, with extra time off and a healthy work-life balance.
Who are we?
Payter is an innovative company leading the way in contactless and cashless payment solutions for self-service environments. Our technology is used in places like EV charging stations, vending machines, charities, hospitality, petrol stations, and even photo booths. We develop everything in-house and always keep improving to give our clients smart, reliable, and user-friendly products. You’ll join a diverse and international scale-up where teamwork, quality, and customer focus matter most.
What do we offer?
A competitive salary with a performance-based bonus;
25 Vacation days plus extra monthly “wellbeing days”;
Travel allowance and a great pension plan;
Flexible hours with the option to work hybrid or fully remote (NL or UK);
A cosy office in Rotterdam with free lunch;
A company that values your wellbeing, development, and job satisfaction.
Requirements
What do you bring?
You have experience in information security and know how to spot risks and set up secure systems. You understand standards like PCI-DSS and know how to protect cloud platforms like Google Cloud. You’re familiar with tools for monitoring and finding security issues (like SIEM). You enjoy working with different teams and can explain technical topics in a simple way. You stay curious, keep up with new threats and tools, and make strong decisions even under pressure. We care more about your motivation and growth mindset than about diplomas or specific years of experience.
