Job Title: Part-Time Data Migration Lead

Reports To: Director of Delivery
Role Summary
The Part-Time Data Migration Lead supports multiple Kinship implementations by managing data extraction, template validation, and transformation planning on a flexible, project-based schedule. This role ensures customer files are ready for import and assists with post-import validation. It is ideal for a detail-oriented Salesforce data specialist who can jump in at key phases of the project lifecycle to ensure data quality and cutover readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the Kinship data migration template library and versioning per customer
Collaborate with internal SMEs and the customer’s database administrator to design field-level mappings and transformation logic
Work directly with the customer’s designated data administrator to ensure templates are completed accurately and on time
Review field-level mapping documents, coordinate lookups, and ensure completeness of transformed datasets
Validate customer data submissions against import standards and naming conventions
Provide assistance during cutover planning, including final import readiness, duplicate resolution, and rollback support
Assist with sandbox data loads and staging environment prep during the configuration and testing phases
Coordinate closely with the Support PM and SMEs to ensure accurate and timely submissions
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on data migration experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM systems
Strong experience using Google Sheets for collaborative, formula-driven data validation and transformation
Proficient in automating data cleaning and transformation workflows using tools such as Google Apps Script, scheduled Flow processes, or ETL connectors
Experience with Salesforce backup and restore processes, including data extraction, storage, and recovery best practices
Familiarity with data masking techniques to protect sensitive or PII data during sandbox loading and testing
Familiarity with public-sector or financial data structures strongly preferred
Comfortable working with record relationships, object dependencies, and large datasets
Able to manage work part-time across multiple implementations and meet key cutover deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to catch edge cases in complex legacy files
Experience using Apsona for data deduplication is a bonus
Automation and spreadsheet logic are prioritized
