Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and strategic Analytics Platform Manager to lead the development and maintenance of our resilient, scalable analytics tools as we expand our central data platform. This role will ensure the seamless integration, optimization, and performance of our analytics infrastructure, collaborating closely with our DevOps and Hosting teams to align on technical priorities and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in modern analytics tools and platforms, particularly Snowflake, Terraform, dbt, Airbyte, and Fivetran, combined with expertise in AWS. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data platform supports the organization’s analytics and business intelligence needs effectively and allows us to scale our solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Platform Development and Maintenance
- Oversee the development, configuration, and maintenance of analytics tools and integrations to support a scalable central data platform, particularly Snowflake & Fivetran systems.
- Ensure the resilience, security, and performance of the analytics platform through proactive monitoring and optimization.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code scripts to drive automation efforts
- Manage the lifecycle of platform updates, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to change management processes.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Partner with Platform Engineering, Product, DevOps and Hosting teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements for analytics tools and team enablement.
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities meet organizational needs.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to translate business requirements into platform solutions.
Tool Expertise and Integration:
- Leverage expertise in Snowflake to design and manage efficient data storage and retrieval solutions.
- Configure and optimize data pipelines for seamless data integration across multi-cloud sources.
- Assist in managing cloud-based infrastructure and ensure scalability and reliability.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on advancements in analytics technologies and evaluate their potential to enhance the platform.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and process efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with best practices and organizational standards.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in cloud data warehouse administration, DevOps, data platform management, or related roles.
- Proven experience with tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Terraform, Airbyte, and Fivetran.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including infrastructure design and maintenance.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with data integration workflows and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Experience in DevOps practices and security.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and business teams.
- Proactive problem-solver with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
