About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure SQL Developer to support our technology-driven environment by developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role requires expertise in database development, query optimization, and data analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product capabilities and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server/ PostgreSQL.
- Design and implement efficient database structures for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including query performance tuning and indexing strategies.
- Assist in database migrations and cloud optimizations on Azure.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to address data-related tasks.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting to generate insights for business and product teams.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in SQL development and Azure cloud technologies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an SQL Developer in a technology-driven company.
- Strong experience with Azure SQL/Microsoft SQL Server/ PostgreSQL Database and related services.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
- Experience in query performance tuning, indexing strategies, and database optimization.
- Familiarity with advanced SQL concepts, including common table expressions, window functions, pivoting, dynamic SQL, and handling JSON/XML data.
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases and security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large-scale datasets.
- Proficiency in scripting languages ( Python) for automation is a plus.
- Experience using Postman for API testing and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Mandatory: Ability to work in the EST time zone.
