Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Maintain uptime and availability of the Kindo systems
  • Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement processes
  • Assist the development team with automation to minimize human error during releases
  • Optimize and maintain the system for peak performance and reliability
  • Architect and secure infrastructure following industry-leading standards for authorization and security, ensuring robust protection
  • Deploy and manage on-premises software environments
  • Manage rollout of new services and standardize infrastructure setup to automate spinning up microservices
  • Design resilient systems, scaling, and high-availability architectures
  • Secure and maintain role-based access to our systems, ensuring only appropriate personnel have access to production data
  • Conduct penetration tests and proactively identify, prevent, detect, and patch vulnerabilities
  • Manage LLMs and other AI systems in production including optimizing deployments of LLM inference and evaluation of different deployment options such as different GPUs, models, and quantization techniques
  • Contribute to product features that enhance DevSecOps automation within Kindo
  • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in DevSecOps and cloud security

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a top university
  • Strong experience in DevSecOps practices and tools
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Azure
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, including Helm, Linkerd, and Nginx ingress
  • Experience with Observability/Monitoring tools (Open Telemetry, Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience running LLMs in production and general MLOps
  • Experience with operating infrastructure in regulated environments (e.g.: SOC2, FedRAMP, GDPR)
  • Onsite presence in Venice, CA (4 days a week in the office hybrid).
  • Strong personal excitement and passion for AI technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certifications in cloud security or DevSecOps
  • Experience managing security operations at a large tech company (e.g. Google, AWS, Apple, Microsoft)
  • Experience with a well known security company (e.g. Palo Alto, Crowstrike, Rapid7, etc)
  • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and security considerations
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR)
