Job description

The Director, Client Services will oversee our client services teams with a focus on the EMEA/MENA markets. This role is a blend of regional business development and strategic account management. This role will establish and nurture new client relationships and translate cultural expertise into tangible business wins. This role will simultaneously support and grow our existing client relationships by identifying new service needs and driving continued organic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Client Account Growth & Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate deep, strategic relationships with key stakeholders within the client account
    • Identify opportunities for organic growth within the existing account by understanding evolving client needs and proposing relevant services
    • Act as a trusted advisor, helping the client achieve their business objectives through our expertise
    • Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership
  • Regional Growth (EMEA & MENA):

    • Proactively identify and pursue new client opportunities in the EMEA and MENA regions in collaboration with the new business team
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our footprint and revenue in these key markets
    • Clearly articulate our value proposition, demonstrating how our services can address specific client needs and business goals
    • Build and nurture a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Strategic Leadership & Operational Oversight:

    • Report directly to the VP, Client Services, ensuring close collaboration on overall strategy and execution
    • Act as a key partner to the Project Management function, ensuring seamless project delivery, efficient resourcing, and accurate project briefs and estimates
    • Contribute to account profitability by strategically managing scopes of work and identifying efficiencies
    • Support the team in developing into strategic consultants for our clients
    • Willingness to travel 10-20% as needed for client and internal meetings

Required Experience

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in agency sales or account management
  • Client and Team Management: Experience working with global clients and cross-border delivery teams
  • Business Development and Account Management: Proven track record of success in driving organic growth and winning new business
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think critically, understand complex client challenges, and develop innovative solutions. This person must be oriented toward winning business and finding creative ways to add value
  • Tech & AI Interest: A genuine interest in technology and specifically how AI can be integrated into workflows to enhance our services and client solutions
  • Client Centricity: A natural ability to build rapport, understand client needs, and provide expert advice. They must be passionate about helping clients succeed
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who can work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Project Management, Creative, Research, Editorial, and Curation
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, without relying on jargon

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency background and experience working with clients on both ongoing projects and shorter term work
