We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Supply Chain Finance to lead a multi-layered, geographically dispersed team supporting manufacturing accounting, supply chain FP&A, and fixed asset management. This role will be responsible for end-to-end financial oversight of the company’s supply chain network, including plant operations across multiple U.S. locations.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cost accounting, inventory and fixed asset accounting, financial planning and analysis, and team leadership in a CPG manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals including plant accountants, financial analysts, and senior managers across accounting and FP&A functions.
Drive cost visibility and accountability across a multi-site manufacturing network, supporting both operations leadership and corporate finance.
Own and continuously improve costing methodologies, inventory controls, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting.
Implement a standard costing approach for manufacturing processes, establishing consistent cost benchmarks for raw materials, labor, and overhead to improve budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Oversee plant-level accounting teams ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of site-level reporting.
Direct the annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for the full supply chain and operations footprint.
Oversee capital spend tracking, project ROI analysis, and fixed asset lifecycle accounting across all locations.
Establish and report on supply chain KPIs and performance dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Ensure effective internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness, especially across distributed plant teams.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, and IT to drive financial and operational efficiencies.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
10+ years of finance experience in manufacturing or CPG, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience managing large, distributed finance teams including both accounting and FP&A functions.
Strong working knowledge of cost accounting, plant operations, inventory management, and fixed assets.
Ideally, expertise in implementing standard costing methodologies and managing bill of materials (BOM) in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or consumer goods
Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and influence cross-functional teams.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems and planning tools; NetSuite preferred
Some travel will be required, estimated up to 10%
