Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Remote
Reports To: Director of Operations/ Supply Chain Manager
Work Shift: Monday to Friday flexi with overlap
Working Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Job Summary:
The Logistics Specialist is a strategic role responsible for evaluating and optimizing the end-to-end logistics setup across Move’s client base. This includes analyzing current 3PL contracts, in-house operations, and freight arrangements to develop effective, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions. The role focuses on designing strategies that enhance service performance, reduce logistics costs, and support client growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the performance and cost-efficiency of existing 3PL contracts and logistics providers.
- Assess in-house vs. outsourced logistics setups to determine the most optimal model for each client.
- Design customized logistics solutions covering warehousing, fulfillment, and freight management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational gaps across supply chain operations.
- Support solution development for new clients and projects, including budget modeling and process design.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Client Success, Finance) to align logistics strategy with client needs.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices to ensure competitive advantage in service design.
- Develop and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years experience in logistics, supply chain strategy, or 3PL operations.
- Strong background in logistics contract evaluation, freight analysis, or solution design.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with cost modeling preferred.
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex recommendations clearly.
- Experience working in a remote, fast-paced, and client-driven environment.
