- Have led engineering teams across both frontend and backend infrastructure

- Are comfortable coaching engineers across the stack and guiding architectural decisions that scale
- Have experience with modern, polyglot environments—at Canva, we primarily use Java, Go, TypeScript, GraphQL and, AWS
- Love mentoring and have a track record of helping people grow and thrive
- Think like a product partner, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impact
- Communicate clearly—whether unpacking technical decisions or aligning stakeholders
- Thrive in ambiguity, set clear direction, and bring others along on the journey
About the team
The Feature Control team sits within the Product Insights Enablement (PIE) group and plays a critical role to rollout changes safely to our 200M+ users. We provide tools and infrastructure to gradually roll out new features. Our mission is to help every team at Canva ship with confidence. From rollout infrastructure to feature flags, we’re building the systems that support safe, scalable product development across the company. We partner deeply with product, data, and engineering to power a safe, data-informed, experimentation-forward culture at Canva.
About the Role/Specialty
