We are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager for the Security Research Team (JavaScript) to join our Endless Lifecycle Support product.
TuxCareโs Endless Lifecycle Support helps organisations keep using end-of-life Linux distributions and software securely. We provide security patches for unsupported versions of CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Oracle Linux, PHP, Python, Spring frameworks, Angular/AngularJS, Django, Flask.
The team is responsible for analysing and patching vulnerabilities (CVEs) in widely used JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including Angular, React, Bootstrap, and others, in order to provide long-term support and secure versions for our enterprise clients.
This is a manager-focused role within a technical delivery team, where deep JavaScript expertise and strong engineering leadership are essential.

As an Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead a team of JavaScript Security Developers/Researchers working on vulnerability analysis and patching.
- Ensure timely delivery of security patches and updates across JavaScript ecosystems.
- Organise and improve development workflows and engineering processes.
- Manage onboarding and ramp-up of new projects and libraries to the teamโs scope.
- Coordinate internal documentation and make sure it reflects the actual project state.
- Align team efforts with client expectations and delivery commitments.
To be successful, you should have:
- Strong background in JavaScript development (at least 5 years of production experience).
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience (Team Lead / Engineering Manager) in a product company.
- Proven experience with technical delivery and accountability for team outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in distributed teams and within larger organisational structures.
- Strong communication skills; capable of interfacing with stakeholders and meeting external expectations.
- Experience building engineering processes and teams from scratch.
- English โ Upper-Intermediate or higher.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience identifying and analysing vulnerabilities in JS applications.
- Understanding of the security vulnerability lifecycle.
