We are hiring an Engineering Manager for Chaturbate who will nurture a culture of excellence and continuous growth within their team. As we move towards our next growth phase, we are looking for someone who is excited to lead a team of high-performing engineers and be a catalyst for their success. This remote role will require occasional travel to our Los Angeles, CA office.
The Role:
As an Engineering Manager, you will:
- Report directly to the Head of Engineering.
- Conduct one-on-ones with direct reports to discuss and align on goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation through coaching and mentoring team members.
- Lead code reviews to maintain high code quality and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Some hands-on coding may be required depending on the team size managed.
About You:
- You have at least 3 years of experience managing a team of software developers.
- You worked as a senior software engineer before being promoted to an engineering management role.
- You are able to review Python/Django AND TypeScript code and provide code review feedback.
- You have proven web development experience and a strong understanding of system design, allowing you to make important technical decisions.
- Proficient in conducting thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- You have a history of identifying skill gaps and promoting professional growth.
- Deep understanding of modern web development technologies and frameworks and their best practices.
- Passionate about driving continual improvement within your Engineering teams, breaking down roadblocks, and driving process improvements.
Bonus Points:
You are familiar with cloud technologies, like GCP or AWS.
You are comfortable programming in TypeScript or JavaScript and familiar with modern frameworks.

The Base Salary range for this position is $181,000 - $237,000 annually. This range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across the US for the posted position. A candidate’s specific pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant education, training, experience, certifications, and abilities of the candidate, as well as other factors unique to each candidate.
