Our Warsaw office is an incredibly exciting addition to our EMEA expansion. We’re already in the UK, France, and Germany, and the new Poland location is a global engineering and product development hub alongside our headquarters in Redwood City, California.

Why Box needs you

Box is looking for visionary technical leaders for our engineering teams in Warsaw, who will lead, inspire, and mentor engineers, while bridging communication between the US and Poland engineering hubs, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. The engineering manager role at Box involves spearheading significant technology initiatives, overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects across multiple architectural layers. Your knowledge can be vital for improving Box product and solving exciting challenges related to Cloud Content Management.

We are currently looking for leaders for the following teams:

  • Admin SecurityΒ team plays a crucial role in building advanced security capabilities and enhancing Box’s overall security posture. Our mission is to protect both end-users and admins by empowering them with cutting-edge security tools and solutions. Joining this team means working at the forefront of security innovation, where you’ll contribute to creating a safer, more secure environment for users and admins globally.

  • Partner Integration team develops new apps, product integrations, and frameworks to support our growing list of strategic partners and inspire the broader ecosystem of developers. Our goal is to build a powerful best-of-breed cloud stack with a single content layer. That way, our customers can connect the content flow across their favorite business apps. We are a fast-paced and high impact team that is helping Box and our partners build world-class enterprise solutions that will both delight and empower our customers.

  • Enterprise Activity Management teamis a part of Box’s Enterprise Engineering organization. Our main customers are enterprise admins, whose responsibilities are to set up and configure Box apps for their enterprises, onboard users, set rules and permissions for users, groups, files, and folders within their orgs, run reports. We are providing admins an “internal eye” to all the activities and assets in their orgs - i.e. user activities and details reports, content access statistics, geographical activities reports and insights, user migration details, etc. This is used for audit, compliance, and day to day RTB. We serve 200K+ admins, who run over 50K reports monthly. Our highly scalable, highly available reporting and insights platform can process billions of rows of data on demand for our customers.

  • Desktop Applications team at Box is responsible for such innovative products as Box Drive and Box Tools. The first one allows users to access, sync, and manage their files in the Box cloud directly from their desktops, ensuring seamless collaboration and robust security. Box Tools complements this by enabling users to create, edit, and open files using their favorite native desktop applications, with automatic synchronization back to the cloud.

Who you are

  • Ideally, you have over 2 years of experience as a software engineering manager, leading teams responsible for high-scale production services.
  • You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience, contributing to the development of full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
  • You excel at aligning and executing new technical ideas, demonstrating an understanding of best practices.
  • Proven experience in driving effective execution with agile processes in a dynamic environment.
  • A people-oriented leader, capable of modelling and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Exceptional at communicating, passionate about technology and committed to raising the bar.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones is advantageous.
  • Proficient in English.

Bonus Points

  • Hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native architecture for AWS, GCP, or similar.
  • Passion for open source and staying abreast of community developments.

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.   • Work with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure the team delivers significant business impact.
  • Represent Box internally and externally.
