Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data, trends, and performance indicators to provide insights to management.
- Prepare variance analysis and explain key drivers affecting financial results.
- Prepare and assist in the production of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable regulations.
- Compile and validate financial data from various sources to support reporting requirements.
- Conduct thorough data checks to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Customize reports to meet specific needs and requirements of different audiences.
- Collaborate with finance and business teams to contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide input on financial assumptions and projections.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide decision support to management.
- Assist in special projects as assigned by senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement best practices to streamline reporting workflows.
Non-Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Promotes interdepartmental communication and culture.
- Lead, develop and motivate the team across all locations and operational functions.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the mortgage industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
