You’ll be instrumental in scaling our European presence while managing an established distribution network and developing new market opportunities.
Our client specializes in innovative cargo-securement systems that protect cargo during transportation, serving customers throughout the logistics, distribution, and transportation industries across Europe.
The Role
As General Manager for EMEA, you’ll be responsible for driving business growth across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines strategic planning with direct sales execution. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement growth strategies while providing guidance to existing team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans for market expansion and revenue growth across EMEA
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive direct sales initiatives and achieve aggressive revenue targets in the European market
- Distribution Management: Optimize and expand our existing distributor network, identifying new partnership opportunities
- Team Development: Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to regional team members
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations with warehousing partners and ensure seamless service delivery
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners
- Market Development: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and expansion possibilities
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, dangerous goods, or chemical industries
- Proven sales track record with demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth
- Distributor management experience - essential for optimizing our existing network
- Leadership experience with ability to guide and develop team members
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Strong organizational abilities and ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of client organizations
- Team-building mindset with collaborative approach to achieving results
Preferred Qualifications
- European language skills (Dutch, German, French, or other European languages)
- Industry knowledge of cargo securement or related manufacturing sectors
- Understanding of dangerous goods regulations and compliance requirements
- Established network within European logistics and transportation industry
Competitive Compensation Package
- Base salary: €150,000+
- Commission structure with significant upside potential for top performers (€200,000+ total compensation achievable)
