A day in the life of a Geospatial Integration Specialist:
A day in the life of a GIS coordinator revolves around maintaining the integrity of geospatial systems and supporting various data acquisition needs. A day starts with ensuring that the latest versions of ESRI’s ArcGIS and Portal platforms are properly licensed and installed, allowing the team to utilize cutting-edge tools. As the primary point of contact for commercial data acquisition, they manage funding requests and coordinate with vendors to secure necessary datasets. It also include facilitating the acquisition of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, ensuring seamless integration within the Sponsor’s enclave. Days often brings ad-hoc requests for geospatial analysis, where they collaborate with team members to provide timely insights that inform decision-making. Each day is a blend of technical oversight and collaboration, making it both challenging and rewarding.
This job is for you if you:
Able to conceptualize a vision for winning, to develop a capture plan that implements the vision and translates into win themes, to adjust the vision as the procurement unfolds, and to focus and manage the capture activities and team (internal and external resources) to achieve the vision through the final proposal submission and assist in preparing the execution team to perform quickly post-award.
What we are expecting from you:
- Ensure latest versions of ESRI’s ArcGIS and Portal platforms are licensed and installed
- Serve as the Sponsor’s coordinator/focal point for all Commercial data acquisition that requires funding
- Serves as the coordinator/focal point for acquisition of GOTS/COTS software and data integration on the Sponsor’s enclave.
- Support Geospatial analysis on an ad-hoc base
- Bachelors Degree from Accredited University
Required Level of Security Clearance: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information
